We are very pleased to have our BREATHE Act, H.R. 2508, introduced on May 2, 2019. This legislation is a 3-year pilot that allows respiratory therapists to furnish disease management services, such as self-management education and training, demonstration / evaluation of proper inhaler techniques, smoking cessation and remote patient monitoring to Medicare beneficiaries with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Bob Guardabasco, NJSRC President; Daryl Rogers, Delegate; and Steve Viton, Board Member meet with Congressman Kim during AARC Hill Day.
200 Advocates sent over 900 messages to Congress. Two asks – cosponsor the BREATHE Act and direct the Medicare Administrator to monitor patient access to liquid oxygen for those whose lives depend on it.
Tell Congress to Co-Sponsor the BREATHE Act and Protect Patient Access to Liquid Oxygen. As we kick off our 2019 Virtual Lobby Campaign prior to our Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill April 9, we have two important messages for Congressional leaders. Please take action today and help spread the word through April 10!
