Now through August 28, AARC members will have the opportunity to share their input regarding newly revised Position Statements. The AARC publishes position statements to promote patient safety, quality care, access to respiratory therapy, and cost control. The Position Statements and Issue Papers Committee recently reviewed and revised three AARC Position Statements. In accordance with the AARC Policy Statement CT .008, members are invited to review these statements and provide comments.
The three revised statements pertain to areas of medical care where RTs are playing an increasing role: transport of the critically ill patient, emergency care, and the administration of sedative and analgesic medications.
