Licensure Regulation Update
The Board of Respiratory Care has been reviewing the delegation and continuing education provisions of the respiratory care regulations. The state society is monitoring for the proposed language. When published, the NJSRC will comment on the proposal.
Auditing has begun and will continue to be rolled out over the next months. Fifteen continuing education credits are need for the 2007 to 2008 license period. A letter explaining the process and a detailed tracking form was included in the boards mailing to individuals being audited.

Reminder that all licensees have 30 days to notify the board of any name or address change. An online form is available on the boards' website.

Polysomnography
The Board has rescinded the notification to polysomnography individuals that was issued three years ago. With the new practice act established the Board will not be notifying individuals practicing polysomnography as related to the letter. No formal regulations have been established. Although members have been appointed to the board.
A polysomnography board was established in September 2007. For the last several months the board has been working on writing regulations to the Polysomnography Practice Act. The NJSRC is actively monitoring for the regulations and other activity from the board.
